Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Marsha Miller, 75, of Cottonwood, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cottonwood. A walk-through visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Out of concern for everyone’s safety, masks will be required during services for Marsha.

Marsha Dorothy (Keintz) Miller was born on March 19, 1945, in Webster, SD, to Cornelius and Dorothy (Sass) Keintz. She grew up and graduated from high school in Roslyn, SD. Marsha attended Presentation College in Hankinson, ND and received her X-Ray Technician training at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. On February 17, 1968, she was united in marriage to Lee Miller in Eden, SD. The couple farmed and raised their family in rural Cottonwood. Marsha worked as an X-Ray Technician in Granite Falls and later worked at the Minneota Manor. She was an active volunteer for the Avera Marshall Thrift Shop. She and Lee wintered for many years at South Padre Island. She enjoyed reading, camping, walking, crossword puzzles and other activities.

Marsha died unexpectedly in her sleep on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at her residence in rural Cottonwood. She is survived by her husband, Lee, of Cottonwood, daughter Carmen (and Dave) Brockman of Windom, son Chris (and Danielle) Miller of Savage, MN, son Andy (and Megan) Miller of Plymouth, grandchildren Ella, Jenna and Ethan Brockman, Oliver, Teagan and Max Miller, siblings John (and Judy) Keintz of Missoula, MT, Marilyn Keintz of Sioux Falls, Ralph (and Mary) Keintz of Eden, SD, Sue Keintz (and Cathie Staples) of Santa Monica, CA, Brian Keintz and fiancé Ann Doyle of Delray Beach, FL, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
