Deanna Marie (Loftus) Davenport was born on July 19, 1976, in Redwood Falls to Jeffory and Kathy (Benson) Loftus. She attended Minneota Public Schools where she was a graduate of the class of 1994. After high school, she followed her passion and attended Stewarts School of Hair in Sioux Falls, SD, and graduated in 1996. Deanna worked as a cosmetologist until the day she passed away. She started working for different private businesses including Cost Cutters in Marshall and had her own business in Ghent, (Deanna Marie’s.) Deanna loved working in the community. Through this, she made so many close friends who became life-long clients. On February 1, 2003, she married Jeff Davenport of Madison, SD, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. After years of planning and trying for children, Jeff and Deanna attended classes to foster children. Shortly after attending these classes, Deanna found out she was pregnant with their miracle, Kylie Kathryn Davenport, who was born in Marshall, MN. Deanna enjoyed so many things in her life such as planning and hosting fun events, cooking, and hanging with friends and family. Deanna was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Deanna was big into the meaning of family!

Deanna died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, April 3, 2020, at her residence in Ghent. She shared her life with husband, Jeff; their daughter Kylie, mother Kathryn (Benson) Loftus and father Jeff (and Cindy) Loftus; siblings Wendy (and Craig) Metz and Jim (and Angela) Loftus; sisters-in-law Amber Davenport and Abby Davenport; grandmother Elvera Benson; nieces and nephews Tylar Noyes, Jasmine Loftus, Alissyn Metz, Ethan Loftus, Stella Davenport and Sadie Davenport and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. I used to be your next-door neighbor... Jeff, I don't know if you remember me but I am Jessica's oldest daughter. We lived right across the street from you and Deanna in Ghent. When my mom told me about this unexpected news my facial expression just dropped. All I could remember was all the great memories with you guys. You two were the only ones who got me to finally get my training wheels off my bike, it only took like 15 huge popsicles to get me to finally do it. I never got to meet Kylie, but I am sure that I would love her because she is the daughter of two of the most amazing people I know. Yall are like family to me and you always will be. Rest in peace Deanna. You will forever be missed.

Jeff and Kylie,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your friends, and your family. I am grateful that our paths crossed when we found out we both had ties to the Madison, SD area. What a beautiful woman who truly made a difference in people's lives!

Deanna worked across the hall from me in the Marshall Mall, not a shift went by without clearing hearing her laughing, looking up and seeing her smiling and making someone’s day!! I’m so thankful for knowing her outside of work, I will always hold those memories dear. My favorite one was the last one at my sisters wedding, what a fun day! Jeff&Kylie, family& friends you will all be in my prayers🙏Until we laugh&dance again, fly high💗

My deepest sympathy to you both. I never saw Deanna without a smile on her face! She was always happy and so caring, and when she asked how you were, she was sincere.
I hope you can feel the love of God's arms around you, and feel everyone sending their love to both of you.
What a beautiful lady, she will be forever missed.
